About Amanda Yeo

Amanda Yeo kai Ting developed an early interest in Art and Design during her childhood. She is a creative and imaginative person, constantly looking forward to new challenges to overcome. She loves to generate creative ideas through sympathy and concern for others, combining art and practicality, creating unique spatial experiences for people to interact with. Amanda is a motivated individual that never gives up when a problem arises.
She is currently graduate from Diploma In Design (Interior Design & Exhibition) at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts to further hone her skills and knowledge, to fulfill her goal of achieving a degree in Interior and Exhibition Design, and use this to prove that understanding the client and space is a crucial element of design.

Puzzle Of Life ,Learning Centre Project

This project Puzzle of Life is a learning center that aims to empower and enrich children with Autism and Down Syndrome with digital technology skills. Therefore, provide a platform for them to gain the skills in a digitalized society.The project ensures them to be part of society and to build up confidence before they go to the working world. Design will pay close attention of spatial arrangements and also the programmes that can complement the project intention.

This project Puzzle of Life is a learning centre at Wessex, Block 21Ramillies for Autism andDown Syndrome. It focuses on ensuring that children with the condition can get them ready for employment even though they face challenges both physically and from the society. Just like any other social identity, each person’s experience and abilities are very different from another person when it comes to disability. The project is to provide a solution for people with Down Syndrome and Autism because society do not hire them.

Opulent Cafe , Fnb Retail Project

Designing a retail space for the brand Ong Shunmugam is a Singapore-based contemporary womenswear.The concept of this retail space is called Opulent which is inspired by the curves and wave path created by the phoenix. It creates an elegant, natural rhythmic movement which evokes a peace, elegance and luxurious feel.

I have chosen green as it is versatile and ideal for creating an energetic interior. Rich emerald green with gold finishes is a
perfect touch in the interior space which communicates elegance and luxury which suit the branding of the stall.Seen vastly in nature, it has a way of rejuvenating a space and evoking a sense of peace and elegant.

Blast From The Past , Pop up Museum

The topic is about Entertainment In Little India.The space will design in a way that looks like an amusement park in 1900s.However , the exhibtion will be in a modern twist .Tekka Place will be designed in way that look like a amusement park which will seperated into two zones , Racecourse and a Cinema.

In this exhbition , we are able to learn and better understand more about the
entertainment in Little India in 1900s.With this entertainment in the past and how does it affect the lifestyle and changes in the 21 Century. Horse Racing had been built at Little India that help Singaporean helps to bring diverse together as where once they came to watch and place bets on horse racing .Rex Cinema also help to give exposure to indian culture which help to better understand one another better.

Without this, there won’t be Singapore and Turf Club today.

Introduction of the exhibition

The linear route has been inspired by the Horses, the horse smooth footfall patterns, and movements of it. Visitors can feel the joy and excitement where they can lead them to through the different zones in the area.

Kengo Kuma Office Project

I want to incorporate nature into the space where Kengo Kuma and his workers are able to work in a peaceful environment. With a nature-inspired look achieving a calm space is simple and it all begins with the palette. Keep base colors neutral, whites work best, and then color and interest can be added with texture and materials in-keeping with nature. NATURE IN SPACE

Discover the Hidden Wildlife In Singapore Exhibition

Designing an exhibition that is located at Hort Park ,Singapore. The concept is based on Singapore, Garden City. The space will be designed in a way that will look like a tropical island such as Pulau Ubin , Forest , River ,allowing Visitors to recognize different types of wildlife that can be found in Singapore and make it their home.

Inspired by Tengah Master Plan.With the increasing development , their habitats will get more fragmented.Animals will be forced to explore new green pockets through man made corridors such as park connectors or bridges.
The foyer is a commonly used area where visitors enter and exit through a linear route which helps visitors to get to the different zones easily.

Ingram :Raven Of Peace

The concept for this project is Ingram: Raven Of Peace which symoblize to get over with life's difficulties.It is inspired by curves and waves of the Zen Garden which creates a miniature stylized landscape.

As the client, Kengo Kuma enter the house , he will first lay eyes of the foyer where it gives off a peaceful and traditional japanese feature.Therefore, help him to feeling the energy of the site and engaging with the environment.The zen garden helps awakens a great deal of healing power which is platform to helps to feel relax and think about the future rather than the past
